Meet The Team
Katie
Katie graduated massage school in 2008 and has been working as a Licenced Massage Therapist for 19+ years and Lead Therapist Trainer for 10+ years.. Katie has always had an enthusiasm for teaching and received her Teaching Certificate from UMSL in 2001. Being able to combine her two passions by joining the team at STLSM as an instructor is a life goal. Katie believes the only thing better than receiving an amazing massage is giving one.
Terrie
Terrie Yardley-Nohr has been a massage therapist for 35 years in the St. Louis area. The first half of her career was spent in her private practice where she specialised in injury recovery work. During the second half of her career she has focused on educating future massage therapists, while managing and directing massage programs at several massage schools in the area. She developed a new curriculum for several massage programs and helped other programs update the materials for massage classes. She has also taught continuing education in ethics, prenatal, hot stone and lymphatic massage. Terrie is the author of the textbook, "Ethics for Massage Therapists". Terrie quotes: "I became a massage therapist after receiving a massage and realizing such positive benefits that a client can experience. I became an instructor to help ensure that students receive quality education to become a successful massage therapist." Terrie currently is an instructor and curriculum developer for the school.
Libby
After earning her bachelor's degree, Libby spent more than 10 years in the corporate world before pursuing a career in massage therapy. She attended massage therapy school in 2019, building on her background in group fitness and personal training. Since then, she has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, including with the inaugural St. Louis CITY SC team, and founded her own massage therapy business in 2021.
As Manager of St. Louis School of Massage, Libby combines her leadership experience with her clinical expertise to oversee operations and state compliance for the St. Louis campus and branch campuses in Colorado Springs, Denver, and Seattle. She is passionate about mentoring students and preparing them for successful careers in massage therapy.
Allison
After following a more traditional path to a four-year university, Allison pursued her massage
therapy education and earned her professional license in 2018. She believes that massage is
for every body and values the opportunity to educate both her clients and students.
In her client work, Allison takes a goal-oriented, client-centered approach. She specializes in
Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique and integrates a combination of cupping, myofascial
release and deep tissue techniques into each session.
Allison joined the team at St. Louis School of Massage in November 2025 as a
Student Clinic Supervisor and has since stepped into the role of Lead Instructor. She focuses
heavily on hands-on instruction and student engagement, striving to create a learning
environment that is both positive and challenging. Her goal is to help students develop the
knowledge, mindfulness, and practical skills needed to become confident, well-rounded
massage therapists.
